Today is a sunny 64 degrees and this afternoon I came across this female monarch fluttering low to the ground in my back yard. Easily picked her up and tagged her. She appears to have recently eclosed. Her left forewing is misshapen at the tip - it's not bent. Hope she will be able to fly well.
