Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/19/2020

Number: 6

Two evenings in a row I have seen a half dozen or more Robins either flocking/bouncing across my treed lot or on the ground searching for food. Interestingly, these sightings were during the "coldest spell" so far for my area. Though somewhat apocryphal, now that I am thinking about it, I had been hearing their calls both in the early morning hours around sunrise or at sunset just before the visual observations above. Maybe we'll have an early spring since the folklore I grew with was that the first Robins of the year heralded the coming of spring.
