Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 02/03/2020

Number: 1

Plump robin redbreast singing in a tree 30 yards away. Weather conditions have been mild in this valley location with rare south winds that may have given this fellow an assist for his northward flight. Other signs of Spring here: greening grass - no ground snow, thin lake ice nearly all gone, some early tree budding, mild temps (40s F; 52F yesterday) in the 2 week forecast. Diving ducks busy in the open lake water. The 2019 Feb was a deep-freeze, so welcome to this mild 2020 trend.
