Sightings report image

Date: 02/08/2020

Number: 1

We had a very cold evening yesterday (minus 20 degrees celsius) & it is still very cold today (mins 17 degrees celsius) so I was happy when I saw a female robin today in our Mountain Ash tree eating berries along with 5 or 6 starlings. She was unperturbed by the starlings who eventually flew off & she continued to sit in our tree for about 1 hour. At one point, she flew into our crab apple tree right next door & ate a crab apple berry as well. There are still plenty of berries in the trees in our backyard right now so enough to keep her warm and well fed during this brisk cold day.
