Signs of Spring

Date: 02/09/2020

Number: 1

We have our first fledging of bluebirds in our blue bird house!

Lots of finches, yellow and other colors as well as lots of chickadees, a couple of cardinals, doves, I am going to have to add more bird houses and am feeding sunflowers and plan for meelworms for our blue bird. I had a Carolina wren fly into our home and left door open and he finally left. They love our bamboo and box woods to rest as well as our camellia's and our tree forest areas. We have a small golf lot but however have maintained small natural areas!

Squirrels are with our oak and pecan trees for gathering nuts and love the black oil sunflowers.. Our local Conroe extension plant sell had Chestnut trees for sale and bought two for roasting on open fire and for our many gray and red squirrels as well as bought paw paw trees as great cover for birds as well as food source. I cannot wait until July for eating like ice cream!

Best Regards for wintertime days to come your way,
