I seen a butterfly, but it was a very young one.

I assumed it was young as it had markings as a monarch but the edges of the wings were not as ornate and the size was smaller. I do not have a photo as it didnt stay in 1 place very long, we have had warmer than normal temps during the day and colder nights. We do not have milkweed . I normally have hummingbird feeders out and plenty of blooming flowers but not yet. It's too soon.

it was about 65 degrees ,sunny and beautiful and it landed on each deck post as if looking for a drink or food.
