I just heard a robin singing!
I've heard them pipping and alarm calling, but I heard one singing quietly this afternoon.
Almost under his breath, if that makes sense.
I listened to the JN robin vocalizations multiple times tonight.
It was the true song. I was surprised I heard it so early this year.
I have seen robins in small groups in December, January, and February at the edge of the timber all this winter about dusk.
I started seeing the migrating single males during the last several weeks. But they were widely spread out and not in a wave. They were doing the peek and tut and the whinny.
