The cackle of a Common Grackle. Heard him before I saw him. Looked up to see him at the top of the large Cottonwood tree at the western border of our property. 0°C at 08:50 sighting with predicted high of 8. Fog patches. The ground is softening and the latest snow cover from Wednesday is gone.
