My wife spotted a Monarch on the south side of our house at about 2:45 pm today. It was flying at about 5 feet off the ground in the strong winds today from the south. It came around our house out back and went up over our trees heading north. That's when I saw it as it left at tree top height. We were unable to determine sex and condition. Very limited milkweed present at this time. It is our first Monarch of this season.
