tundra swans - they stage across Lake Huron from my community near The Pinery (near Bayfield, Ontario) and after resting there come across Lake Huron in large flocks - Lambton Museum there keeps a migration calendar and lists activity in the bog where they rest. There are currently "thousands" of tundra swans there today. They are about two weeks earlier than most years.
