Non-migratory 'residents' have been in the area all winter. This one is decidedly more faded and tattered than the 'locals', so it's quite possible he's at the leading edge of the northern migration from Mexico.
Pictured is a male. Will try to grab a pic of the female I saw ovipositing. She oviposited (on A. perennis milkweed) then rested all morning long.
