2 Adults Monarchs in blooming Mountain Laurels.
They were bright and fresh looking which surprised me.
These two were nectaring from flower bunch to flower bunch on a mountain laurel tree.
It has been unusually warm in Central Texas. Most flowers and trees are a couple of weeks ahead of schedule. I haven't seen milkweed myself, but I'm sure it is up in the fields, as everything has budded out early. Many trees are leafed out already and birds are here and nesting.
