Found this monarch that eclosed from a chrysalis yesterday feeding today on a Mexican Flame Vine! We found him as a larva on January 22 on one of our native milkweeds, Arizona Milkweed, A. angustifolia. Nights were cold and often in the middle 30's. It took 45 days from when we saw him as a larva to when he eclosed yesterday.
