Female seen depositing eggs on milkweed, in my yard. She went to a small tropical milkweed—they are just now emerging. She did lay eggs. I lifted a leaf to be sure. Saw another one today here and one at our church in Madisonville.

The butterfly I saw up close was not bedraggled.

We’ve seen some yellow sulphurs and eastern swallowtails. The swallowtails were seen on several native azaleas.
