Day after a good rain here in LA, California, I sat and counted 26 caterpillars throughout my small patch of tropical milkweed plants.
They were a variety of sizes from tiny to mostly large ones looking ready to cocoon.
All looked very healthy . They appeared to enjoy the sun, ate , rested then ate more. By early afternoon they were all hidden away for the day.
