Today’s observation was abruptly ended when a deputy from the Mendocino Country Sheriff’s department cleared the area to enforce the shelter in place order. We then attempted to observe from the pullout at Saunders Reef and shortly after our arrival there, the same deputy cleared that area as well. Before we were evicted, we did see 25 northbound grays and one sub-adult.
At this time, we are uncertain if we can continue our survey.
