We were at Sand Lake again. The eagles were having a bit of trouble with a duck they captured. We assume it was not dead when they got it to the nest and it ended up falling over the side. The eagle on the nest struggled to reach down the side of the nest to get it and the mate flew around trying to help. It took some doing but the one on the nest finally dragged it back up and into the nest. Then both birds were on the nest for a while. Quite something to watch! Sure did wish I had a bigger lens! Took us a while at home to see that it was a duck!
