I saw a first of year (FOY) Tree Swallow today. It flew over my head at the UW Arboretum near the Visitor Center and continued flying over the prairie south of the Visitor Center called Curtis Prairie. I had to wait a long time before it finally perched in a burr oak on the prairie so I could take a photo of it. The day was overcast and a bit foggy so I could not get a very good photo.
