Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/29/2020

Number: 1

could not get photo

The monarch was not landing anywhere for very long, thus I have no photo. I would bet that my viburnums and clematis that are in bloom lured him/her. My milkweed is not up yet. The monarch looked pretty bright with wings intact; flight was a bit erratic – I am sure the search was on for milkweed.

I have been seeing Eastern Swallowtails, Azures and small white butterflies on the violets and clover. LOTS of lady bugs on the clematis armandii, the same clematis mentioned above.
