There was a definite uptick in Monarch numbers (5 at any given time throughout the day) and activity (mating, nectaring, ovipositing, puddling in we mud). Pictured is a particularly faded female who alternated between frantically laying eggs then resting for prolonged periods either on the fence or in the grass.
