Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 04/01/2020

Number: 1

Our first male rubythroat is checking out Hamelia pattens just budding out. Ignoring all other blooming, deep purple Rockin salvia, purple Aimstead, Black and blue sage, coral honeysuckle plants. Even with abundant blooming bottle brush, coral porterweed, blue porterweed, pineapple sage, Mexican honeysuckle bush, red yuccas.
I have listed all plants because the deal is certain hummingbird species migrating in like certain nectar plants.
He must be claiming a feeder as he finally went to 6 port Perky pet 30 oz.thus explaining this behavior. We have 4 different style feeders out in spring migration so they can find a familiar feeder which I see photos of every type feeder used in nesting areas.
