This little male rubythroat has been here I think 4 days now, likes Aimstead sage like overwintering Rufous did.
Yet here is the surprise . It is doing the male loops up and down to attract a female rubythroat. In same holly tree Rufous sat in. Same loops as Rufous. I have seen this action when living in Manitou springs Colorado with male Broadtails.
We had a female rubythroat nest about 10 years ago in magnolia tree. They do nest in Houston.
