Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 04/06/2020

Number: 1

Around 6:30 this evening I was going out for a walk and saw a butterfly. I suddenly realized that it was a monarch that had flown up from my butterfly weed into one of my trees. I thought it was going to roost there but, when I came back from my walk, it was down laying eggs on my butterfly weed. How exciting! She was quite tattered and faded but has had good luck with the weather as it is quite warm here and spring is in full bloom.
