The Eurasian tree sparrows are nest-building.

How do I know?

Four of them were gathering up great beak-fulls of goat hair this morning around 10:00 a.m.

Our fainting goats are shedding their winter coats and we comb them in the evenings in the backyard.

We have Eurasian tree sparrows year-round and they come to the feeders.

I used my binoculars to verify the white cheek patch with the black spot and a rusty brown cap.
