Oriole (1st Baltimore)

Date: 04/15/2020

Number: 1

Looked out the window and there's an Oriole under the bird feeders. Not at all prepared. Really early this year!!!

First boy of the season and it's snowing here today!

Unfortunately, no picture and yes, it was definitely an Oriole. We feed them every year and have about 8 pairs that are here all summer.

They are hard to mistake, black wings with the white markings and the beautiful orange tummies.

I was shocked [to see him] as they don't usually arrive for another 2 1/2 weeks here (around the first week of May). The snow is a fluke this year. It's not normally this cold here at this time of year. I'm watching for him and will take a photo of the opportunity presents itself.
