Sightings report image

Date: 04/16/2020

Number: 1

I was so lucky to see this female hummingbird fly onto her nest or I'd have never known she was there. She's made her nest about 6 -7 feet above ground on a downward hanging oak limb. This is in a very sparsely-populated area of Texas Hill Country, west of Austin. My nectar feeders are probably the only ones within a mile so I'll put extra effort into making sure that my feeders are cleaned and filled for this sweet little Mama.
