I had previously noticed 2 monarch caterpillars on these plants about 5 days ago, and I hadn't checked them in a while. I was shocked to see so many caterpillars on the two milkweed plants in my front flower bed! Now I've been checking on them almost hourly! Several are very large and should be making their chrysalis very soon. I teach a big monarch unit to my second graders, so I've been taking a lot of photos and videos to share with them during our virtual classes this spring.
