The caterpillar came on a milkweed plant I bought at Lowe's on March 28, 2020. I placed it into a butterfly habitat and it made a chrysalis on the plant. I tried to tape the leaf to the top of the net so that I could plant the milkweed. The tape released and fell to the floor where I had placed bubble wrap. I left it alone. After two weeks the butterfly emerged. I released it this morning.
