While standing near my window, a quick movement caught my eye, so I stepped forward in order to have a view of my hummingbird feeder. There hovered my first sighted hummingbird of the 2020 season. It was almost dark, perhaps after 8 p.m. He did not linger long, which lead me to believe that he had likely already been to the feeder earlier in the day.
A day later, and I have observed him numerous times at the feeder. Hopefully this one will be setting up residence at my farm. The day has been cold...only in the low 40s, and windy. Tonight the temp will likely be 32.
