We used Journey North in college biology classes for many years. JN is an easy introduction for novices first to use web resources to document natural history observations. Data entry, maps, phenology, migration, and entry level community based service learning are all encompassed within the JN model. What can we predict for the next 50 years of Earth Days? Particularly so on this 50th anniversary when we are isolated by covid and the reduction of use of fossil fuels is clearing the atmosphere in the greatest experiment to control climate change that we might ever imagine.
