At dusk on 4-22-20, there were 4 calliope females, 2 calliope males, one rufous male, and 2 rufous females around my feeder. The calliopes seem more territorial, sparring among themselves. When the rufous male is present (see right side of feeder, larger head, white gorget beside a male calliope), the frenzy to feed at dusk seems to settle down. There are 10 feeding holes in my feeder, with 7 of them occupied by male-female calliopes and rufous all at once last evening.
