One young male rubythroat still here nectaring/prefers Armstead salvia, hamelia pattens early a.m. Sits in blooming desert willow tree looking left right manner. Ignores hanging basket of fuschia,pineapple sage, coral honeysuckle, lipstick salvias, black and blue salvia.
Went over where female was perching in holly tree everyday, but she must have left. Don't think she's nesting as is a young one also.
I do know any male species hummingbirds prefer Aimstead salvias, as Overwintering Rufous does.
