It felt like a hummingbird day.
There was a light breeze, plenty of sunshine, and a 69F temperature.
I weeded and replanted my columbine this morning, but no hummer.
I set up a lawn chair so I could watch both feeders.
I was writing in my journal when I heard that unmistakable sound.
There he was! My first male ruby-throated hummingbird of the year.
I knew he was coming even though he made me wait till 3:05 p.m.
It was worth the wait.
