Submitted by Don Davis. Naturalist Jeff Larson reported today to the Google Group Ontario Butterflies:

Today there was a major emergence of Cabbage Whites in Essex County.I encountered the following:

1. 5 Cabbage Whites in the field beside my house in Harrow, Ontario at 1 pm.

2. 12 Cabbage Whites nectaring on dandelions in the yards near my mother's house in LaSalle, Ontario at 1:30 pm.

The temperature was 19 C or 66.2 F at both locations.
