Robin (Nesting Behavior)
Sightings report image

Date: 04/01/2020

Number: 1

The "parents" started building their nest the first week of April and then the mother incubated the 4 eggs the next 12-14 days; they started hatching the weekend of April 18-19 with steady flights back and forth by both parents to feed the chicks and they all left the nest this morning.
It was interesting to watch the parents tag team, as one flew out the other flew in, and there was always one very close by on the entryway arch or gate at all times.
The chicks seemed to actually outgrow the nest. We have lots of pictures, but it only allow one on this form.
