Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 05/02/2020

Number: 3

One Monarch was flying around and through a row of Choke Cherries in full bloom. Two other Monarchs appeared and two of them chased around in the air before departing but one continued flying around the Choke cherry trees. It disappeared for a few seconds when it landed on a high branch but I was not able to tell if it was nectaring on the Choke cherry blooms. They have lots of small native bees on them.

They were faded pale orange Monarchs, not looking fresh or newly emerged.
No milkweed is up yet or it is not visible in the tall grass. We check a certain places and no, not up yet.
