1 monarch adult flying by in the sun around 3:15pm
Editor's note: Observer added: This is the very first butterfly I have seen in my area (I go on lots of walks in the park with my dog!) and I was so excited to see it. The monarch looked bright and new. Its colors were vibrant, but I could not get too close of a look at it, as it was flying above me and moving fairly quickly. It seemed to be in very good condition, as I did not notice it struggling at all. I haven’t noticed milkweed, but I also have not been looking for it. I have not seen any other butterflies besides this one.
