Noticed a caterpillar on the top of a stalk of a "volunteer" milkweed plant (seeds blew into a potted bougainvillea) early this morning in the front yard. Around 10 AM, when the temperature was already rising, the caterpillar had taken refuge in the shade at the bottom of the milkweed.
