Hummingbird, Other Observations

Date: 05/15/2020

Number: 1

The male ruby throated that was here a few days ago has departed, driven off by the very same male that has been here for the last two years. He's tinier than most males I've seen, but he is super aggressive!! He's king here already, I think, and perches on the very same branches, following the very same habits as far as guarding his perimeter.

I named him Titan, because he is just ferocious, and allows no prolonged duels with other males. He's regularly patrolling his feeders now, so I think he's settled in and waiting for that special female.
