I observed an adult Monarch flying around & checking out all the plants in my garden. It landed & settled on the butterfly weed plant. I believe it laid eggs. I also planted milkweed last Spring & it was taller than the butterfly weed, but it chose to lay its eggs on the butterfly weed plant. The butterfly weed plant appears to be a favorite of the Monarchs that visit my garden.
