Signs of Spring

It was a wonderful surprise to see this butterfly in the garden.
It may have been a Viceroy? I was working in the garden without my phone and happily surprised to see it, as you probably know they look nearly identical to the Monarch. It had white spots along the wings, black body and pointed wings.

We have a lot of Butterflies in our flower gardens, we have also seen a pair of the Western Tiger Swallowtail Butterflies, not to be confused with the Two-tail.. I did double check!

We do have the Orange Butterfly Milkweed up... it's small, but it is about 3-4" high, we grow this in the same spot every year, this is where I saw said "Butterfly", no eggs just yet.
