Just saw a.male Red Breasted Grosbeak for the first time this year
. He was eating Meaties from a tube feeder. Last year, the first sighting was on May 9th. He arrived when there was a lot of feeder activity. I haven't heard a song yet. Generally, I hear them first thing in the morning. Am happy to know that they are back with my favorite song of all the birds we have.
