Spotted a huge, mature male Scarlet Tanager at the jelly feeder hanging off my upper deck around 5 P.M.
Excited--as this is the first Tanager sighting I have had in more than FIVE years, when I saw both a MALE and FEMALE feeding on grape jelly from that same feeder and location, when on FALL migration.
