A watched weed does not grow, I'm sure of this! I've been looking for my C. milkweed every day for a week or so. Then I was not able to check for the plant for a few days. On 5-22-20 I was about ready to mow the grass and did not know how close I could get to the area of the milkweeds. Luckily, I saw this small milkweed so that it would not be decapitated by my mower by mistake.

I was thrilled to find it!

If you think I am thrilled to see my first milkweed, wait till I see my first monarch!
