My son and I were looking out the window and saw a female Ruby-throated Hummingbird go to the nectar feeder. It then flew down in the garden and he observed it nectaring on a purple Columbine. Not sure of the proper name for this cultivar. The weather was partly sunny 16C but a thunderstorm was rapidly approaching.
