I was driving to my Saturday job and saw this HUGE bird circling the interstate. I was southbound on I29, about a mile or so north of the bird. The bird appeared to be as big as a commercial passenger jet. It circled 2x then swooped down RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the southbound lanes for a "touch and go". I was hoping it would NOT get hit. Its wingspan was more than the width of 1 highway lane - not MUCH but definitely more. It must have caught a rodent crossing the highway. As I passed the location it was flying eastbound into the trees. At this point it looked as if it was only as big as an F14 - it was BIG. It wasn't as big as an F14 but it sure was big and it looked like nature's animal version of an F14.
