In mid March my husband & I arrived in Costa Rica only to find out our 8 day tour had been cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic. So our time there was just a matter of 2 l/2 days as we scrambled to get a flight back home. We made the best of our short time there though and did go to the beautiful La Paz Waterfall Gardens in Vara Blanca the day before the Gardens closed down because of the pandemic. I'm happy to report that while there I amazingly spotted a pre-migratory Baltimore Oriole and the proof is attached in my report. So I guess really that was my "first sighting" of a Baltimore Oriole this year even though I saw it outside of the United States in Costa Rica in the midst of a pandemic!
