At Approximately 9:55am Sunday May thirty-first two thousand twenty twenty i was traveling on south/south east towards the town of wentzville when i spotted what seemed to be a juvenile bald eagle sitting in the corner of the field rather close to the road.
I turned around and drove back by the bald eagle to make sure it was ok. Upon driving by once more it was still sitting in the same position. I parked the car up the way and walked down to see if the bald eagle was injured, when i got a respectful distance away the young bird notice me and struggled to fly away. Once he was successful in his low flight away i could see that he had gotten some road kill a bit heavy then it probably expected.
He was able to fly and did not appear injured after all.
