Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 05/30/2020

Number: 5

Every year we see our first monarchs feasting on our lilac bush. This year was no different.

We saw the five all at one time on our lilac. They were going from flower to flower. We watched them for at least 1/2 hr and 2:45-3 in afternoon. They were still on the lilacs after that. We were sitting in the yard and at time could see all at once. Several times we saw 2 closely circling each other. Yesterday and this morning I saw at least 2 Monarchs. They arrive each year as the lilacs begin to bloom.
