When looking over my swamp milkweed plants in my backyard on Friday afternoon, I noticed a plant with only two leaves on it. Upon closer investigation, I found two caterpillars. One was about 1 inch, the other 3/4 of an inch. It is the earliest I've ever seen larva on milkweed in our backyard!
